Healthy Aging
Why TriBsyn® is a Next-Generation Carnosine Booster
Carnosine levels decline naturally with age due to changes in metabolism, dietary intake, and endogenous synthesis. This decline has been associated with reductions in muscle function, buffering capacity, and aspects of cognitive performance.
Research shows a progressive decrease in muscle carnosine across the lifespan, with reported reductions of approximately 16% between young adults (19–30 years) and middle-aged adults (31–50 years), and up to 47% in older adults (65–80 years). These changes may contribute to reduced muscle buffering capacity and increased susceptibility to fatigue (Everaert, 2011; Tallon, 2007).
Because β-alanine is the rate-limiting precursor for carnosine synthesis, maintaining optimal levels can be challenging—particularly with aging or limited dietary intake. Direct carnosine supplementation is often less efficient due to breakdown during digestion.
TriBsyn® was developed to address these limitations. Utilizing Hydro Oleo technology, it is designed to enhance beta-alanine delivery, demonstrating up to 4× greater bioavailability under study conditions and a longer apparent half-life compared to conventional beta-alanine. These properties support more efficient carnosine synthesis at lower inclusion levels.
How TriBsyn® Supports Healthy Aging
TriBsyn® supports healthy aging through multiple pathways:
-
- Carnosine support: Helps maintain carnosine levels through efficient beta-alanine delivery
- Muscle function: Supports endurance and intracellular pH buffering during daily activity
- Cognitive support: Contributes to aspects of mental performance through carnosine-related pathways
- Metabolic support: Helps address reduced dietary intake of beta-alanine in certain populations
- Cellular resilience: Supports physiological processes associated with oxidative and metabolic stress
